The online database ‘Virtuelles Kupferstichkabinett’ of the Herzog Anton Ulrich-Museum in Braunschweig and the Herzog August Bibliothek in Wolfenbüttel contains 46030 descriptions of prints from the fifteenth century up to the middle of the nineteenth century.

Quick Search: Mode ‘Search all fields’: Fill in one or more search terms. Searching on several search terms will combine the terms with a logical AND. Check the clickbox ‘truncated’ in order to include alternative forms of spelling: a characteristic fragment of the word will be sufficient, see search help. To reduce the search to one of the collections click on the logo button of the institution to be excluded.

Advanced Search: Combine up to three search filters. Click on the button A-Z and see the index list in order to select your search terms.

Multilingual Image Search: Change to the register ‘IMAGE-BROWSER’ if you want to browse the collection by topics and image motifs on multilingual base: search terms may be in English, French, Italian or German.
